Mike for Model Number Maytag MGR5765QDB Bake switch says 100 degrees, but oven doesn't light to heat the oven. The broil switch seems to work fine, so the oven gas and ignition seem fine. All burners are fine. I've unplugged and plugged the unit back in, hoping for a reset. No such luck. Does this mean I need to replace the whole control panel ($250)? Thanks for your help. I've tested the bake igniter by plugging it into the broil igniter plug and it seems to heat up red however when I turn on the oven to bake it does not heat up at all. The igniter leads seem to have melted a bit and maybe shorted out. Would this ruin the control board?
Answer Mike, What you will want to do is disconnect the igniter from the harness and turn the oven on to bake. Test the harness leads to see if there is 120 vac getting to the igniter. If not then the issue would be the clock assembly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 17, 2014
