Dave for Model Number mgr5755000 the numbers on the contol panel all light ,all timers ,clock all work. When you press bake or broil the temp comes on but oven/broiler does not light. This started after a lightning storm. What could this be?
Answer Dave, It's not likely that you have two faulty igniters 74007498, due to a voltage spike but, it is a possibility. It's more likely that the bake and broil relays on the ERC/Clock have failed due to the voltage issue. You'll want to remove the oven bottom panel, program a bake mode, and check to see if the igniter glows "white" hot, then program a broil cycle and observe the broil igniter for a "white" hot glow as well. You'll need a meter or test light, to verify that there is voltage across the wires in the igniter wire connection from the chassis portion of the harness, No voltage would indicate a wiring issue or faulty clock relays. If you have the voltage, then you'd have two faulty igniters. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 9, 2013
