Jerry for Model Number 110.85866400 Our HE4 dryer does not respond to any front panel buttons. The light inside does come on when the door is opened. Is this a front panel problem or a control board problem? I have checked a couple of voltages on the control board and there is 120VAC on it but there is no 5VDC going out to the front panel. I have disconnected and re-connected all the connectors at the control board. Are there other diagnostics I should do?
Answer Hello Jerry, You should pull the units kickpanel and pull the tech sheet. This will give specific instruction on the units' diagnostic test mode. The fault codes indicated will point you in the direction of the issue. If the unit will not go into the diagnostic test mode, the control will require replacement. Read More...
