Tom for Model Number WTW4800XQ2 My daughters washer stopped after the wash cycle and the door lock light flashed. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the light remained on. When I pressed the cancel button I could hear clicking from the control panel but the door did not unlock. Is this an issue with the door latch mechanism or the control panel?
Answer Hello Tom, before you replace any parts run the service test mode to determine what the control board sees as a problem. Your washer came with a Test sheet, it is located behind the front cabinet panel on the inside near the top in a plastic bag. It has all testing information, schematic and troubleshooting information. Also, this washer model will not allow any operation if the wash cycle was stopped for any reason and there is standing water in the tub. It has to drain it out first. Read More...
