Manufacturer Part Number: W10480177

This replacement part is a control board for washers. The control board is the main computer that sends signals to the washer to perform its essential functions. Over time a control board can become inoperable after excessive use. If the washer is no longer turning on, spinning, rinsing or draining properly, this could mean that the control board needs to be replaced. Luckily this is not a difficult repair.Start by shutting off all power to the appliance. Remove the upper back panel and locate the old control board. Pull it out of its mounted position and take note of the orientation of the wires attached to the old board. Reinsert the wire harness and individual wires into their correct terminals on the new board. Snap the board back into its original place and reinstall the upper back panel. This genuine OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand refrigerators.

Rex for Model Number WTW4800XQ0

Hello, I have watched many of your videos recently to learn about my Whirlpool top load washer. It has worked great for years and suddenly when it gets to the final high-speed spin it will not wring the clothes out dry. It stays at low speed and then times out and goes to Done. It will run fast on an empty basket but will not go to high speed with wet clothes in the basket. What might this be? I have a few ideas but do not want to order parts and find out it was not the part I thought it was and paid for from your company. I want to fix it right the first time and not be a parts changer. Thanks, RK

Answer

Rex, It would be recommended to put the unit into diagnostic mode and check to see if there are error codes. The tech sheet for this unit is located on the inside front of the unit. Based on what the unit is doing it may be that the speed sensor is bad and would need a new shift actuator but recommend checking error codes.
