Rex for Model Number WTW4800XQ0 Hello, I have watched many of your videos recently to learn about my Whirlpool top load washer. It has worked great for years and suddenly when it gets to the final high-speed spin it will not wring the clothes out dry. It stays at low speed and then times out and goes to Done. It will run fast on an empty basket but will not go to high speed with wet clothes in the basket. What might this be? I have a few ideas but do not want to order parts and find out it was not the part I thought it was and paid for from your company. I want to fix it right the first time and not be a parts changer. Thanks, RK
Answer Rex, It would be recommended to put the unit into diagnostic mode and check to see if there are error codes. The tech sheet for this unit is located on the inside front of the unit. Based on what the unit is doing it may be that the speed sensor is bad and would need a new shift actuator but recommend checking error codes. Read More...
