Marion for Model Number WZF56R16DW00 Whirlpool upright freezer had over temperature alarm going off red light flashing. noticed ice on cover. Removed the cover. Coils were completely covered in ice. Thawed with hairdryer. next day still icing . I replaced the heater and the thermistor yesterday. Today there's a light film of frost on coils.Thermometer on upper shelf reads 10 degrees. liquid does not freeze. Thermometer on bottom shelf reads minus 15 and liquid frozen solid. I checked the evaporator fan which seems to be working. The control board has a green light and no over temp alarm or red light all day. What else could cause the problem?Thank you
Answer Marion, Always allow at least 24hrs for temperatures to stabilize. Check to make sure door seals are sealing properly, an air leak at the top could cause warming. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 20, 2021
