  • Use ESD protection and handle the board by the edges only

Drm for Model Number GHW9150PW0

A couple years ago I was getting door lock error code. Replaced door lock. Still got door lock error code, but not that often. Checked wires & connections to CCU and no issues. Now it is doing it more frequently again. By tapping CCU (with washer top panel removed), it clicks and starts up every time on the first tap. Is there a relay in the CCU? Just seems like there must be one (and therefore replacing the CCU makes sense), or do I need to go back and check the wires & connections again?

Answer

DRM, Yes, there are "mini relays" on the CCU board. Based on your information, the CCU is the most likely problem. But first you do need to check the wiring at bothe the door latch assembly and the CCU. Make sure the terminals and connectors aren't corroded or dirty and the connector pins are seated properly and tightly on the board and switch connectors.
