This washing machine microcomputer control board is made of strong materials. The part is located in the back of the washing machine top near the buttons and dials that control the appliance. It serves the same purpose as a timer by ensuring each component does its job at the proper moment. Sensors offer data to the microcomputer control board so it can regulate the temperature of the water, drain and fill time, and spin and wash cycles.Several symptoms will often be present if the microcomputer control board isn't working correctly. The washing machine may not start at all or it may have problems starting, draining, spinning, or filling. If this part is creating issues, it needs to be replaced. For safety, first, make sure the washing machine is unplugged. Use a screwdriver to remove the panel that covers the part. Move any hoses out of the way to reach the microcomputer control board. Peggy for Model Number GHW9400OWO

We are getting a code F11 mainly at the end of a cycle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This has been happening for about 6 weeks now. On the last batch of laundry pushing the cancel button twice was not working. It would flash the remaining time and then go back to the code F11 and beep. We couldn't even get the wash cycle to cancel for about 20-25 minutes. I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get the laundry out of the washer, but after walking away from it for about 10 minutes and going back it finally canceled. Sometimes we could push cancel twice then hold the start button down and it would resume where it left off. We are worried if it got a power surge or something when my husband was testing out our generator. We called a local repair shop and they think we need to replace the motor, and gave us part number 8182697. We are trying to find it online for the best price available. Do you think this is our problem?

Hello Peggy. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. 8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires
