This washing machine microcomputer control board is made of strong materials. The part is located in the back of the washing machine top near the buttons and dials that control the appliance. It serves the same purpose as a timer by ensuring each component does its job at the proper moment. Sensors offer data to the microcomputer control board so it can regulate the temperature of the water, drain and fill time, and spin and wash cycles.Several symptoms will often be present if the microcomputer control board isn't working correctly. The washing machine may not start at all or it may have problems starting, draining, spinning, or filling. If this part is creating issues, it needs to be replaced. For safety, first, make sure the washing machine is unplugged. Use a screwdriver to remove the panel that covers the part. Move any hoses out of the way to reach the microcomputer control board. Eric, The F06 error code is an indication that there is a drive motor tachometer error. You will want to check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the motor control unit (MCU) and between the MCU and the central control unit (CCU). Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor and check the drive motor for powered rotations. Access the tech sheet and it will have information on testing the motor and motor control.
