Creig for Model Number 596.77593801 My 5 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator is freezing food in the main compartment while showing a temperature of 38 degrees. The Freezer temperature shows 0 degrees. From what I've read it could be a control board issue. Are there other trouble-shooting steps I should take before ordering a new one?
Answer Hello Creig, You will need to verify that the freezer fan is running. If it is, stop the blade from turning and with voltage on it, make sure it starts back up to full speed when you let go of it. If not, you will need to replace the evaporator fan motor W11024089. If it does, you may have a damper WPW10196393 issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 15, 2014
