Rtroth for Model Number MFC2061HES Replaced start components last year got through season. Then they burned up and comp drawing 20 plus amps so replaced it. Still wouldn't run. Suggested to replace control board so did. Not working yet. Tried to bypass temperature sensor and defrost terminator still nothing. What am I missing? This unit is in a motor home and is impossible to replace! Please help me!
Answer Hello Rtroth, If the compressor is drawing more than 20 amps, if you have changed the compressor, The sealed system has a restriction. Most of the time this will occur at the heat exchange assembly or the evaporator coil. The best way to check for this is by recovering the freon from the system and blow nitrogen through the individual coils and tubes. This can easily be accomplished with a process tube adaptor kit.
