Judson for Model Number ED5FHEXSS00 My fridge keeps tripping the GFCI. I tried another new GFCI outlet and it still failed. After resetting the fridge runs for 10-12 hours then trips the GFCI again. I believe it is related to the defrost cycle. Last night, the GFCI would trip immediately after reset. I found the parts guide for the Defrost control board, and after researching some similar schematics I was able to find online, I unplugged the 4-Pin molex connector that has a Pink and 2-Brown wires - which should have something to do with the defrost element. When I tried to reset the GFCI, it did not trip and the fridge is running at the moment and freezer temp is 6 degrees F. Please advise on what I have isolated...I could not find the wiring schematic for my model, and am hoping you can help?
Answer Judson, Thanks for the question!!! This is typically caused by a leakage in the heating element WP2323198. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, May 30, 2023
