Warren for Model Number GBD277PDS09 The display on this unit will sometimes fade away and 10 minutes later it will return. All other functions on the unit work normally. Is there a separate board for the display or is everything on 1 circuit board? When replacing the circuit board, should I wear gloves or an antistatic wrist band?
Answer Warren, This issue sounds like the LV transformer is faulty and would need to be replaced. You can test the transformer by checking for 120 vac into the transformer on Connector P16 pin 5 to 7. Then you would want to check for 12-24 vdc from pins 2 to 3 on the same connector.
