Chris for Model Number RBD306PDB14 The display on the control board is completely dark. The only feature that used to be visible was the timer/clock but now is completely dark. Everything works but you can't read the display. Does the entire control board need to be replaced?
Answer Chris, You will want to test the transformer on the unit to make sure that it is good. If the transformer is good then this will be a control board issue. The transformer part number is WP9760587 and can be tested by checking for 120 vac at the p16 connector between pins 5 and 7 for 120 vac and if there is power there then test from the p16 pins 2 to 3 for 12 to 24 vac. If there is no power at this point then transformer is bad. If there is power at this point then the control board is faulty. If there is no power at pins 5 to 7 then the control board is faulty.
