Mike for Model Number 66513489k902 Kenmore dishwasher. No apparent power to console/keypad. No LEDs light up. Attempted diagnostic cycle, no LEDs light up. Thermal fuse has continuity. Door switches work fine.I disconnected console/keypad from control(circuit board) per troubleshooting sheet/schematic that came with washer. Plugged in dishwasher to power, closed door and drain pump came on for 2 minutes and shut off. According to schematic, this is most likely a faulty console/keypad unit. There are instructions on how to test keyswitch contacts, but this does not apply to a "touch sensitive" interface which I think this console is. I would just like some assurance that the keypad/console is faulty before I order it. Thanks, Mike
Answer Hello Mike. Test for power to the fuse and then power passing though the fuse. If it comes to the fuse, but not out of the fuse you will need to replace the fuse on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
