Stephen for Model Number MCE8000AYW Before I order a new console for my dryer I need a copy of the service manual or at least the instructions for how to replace my defective console. Answer Stephen, Thanks for your inquiry, Here are the instructions and the part number you need to repair your drying center : Console Removal 1. Disconnect power supply to unit. 2. Remove the 4 screws located in the drying cabinet securing the console from behind, one on each side and two in the middle. 3. Roll console out and down. Logic Board Removal 1. Disconnect power supply to unit. 2. Remove Console. 3. Unlatch and disconnect the three plug-in connectors from logic control board, remove ground wire from the chassis and carefully remove the four flex circuit connectors. 4. Slide the entire Logic Board to the left, to allow the white tabs to align with the elongated slots. The part number is 31001658. It's a breeze , Good Luck. AP4039020 Read More...
