Bob for Model Number MCE8000ayw This Maytag unit will suddenly start to run on its own, without any manual input. I believe that the trouble is in the control panel or logic board, any ideas before I spend to much money on repair? Should I replace just one or the other or should I replace both?
Answer Bob, If you have a multi meter you should test the touchpad ribbon tracers. another way to check, would be to disconnect the ribbon from the logic board, re apply power and wait a few days and see if the unit starts on it's own( works if you have the time and don't have a meter).
