Packrat for Model Number Maytag washer model MAH5500BWWW Washer fills but does not run. I have replaced the screens for the hoses as that was the cheapest fix but that is not the problem. Lights are on the panel and the door locks and it fills but wouldn't run. Timer continues to run down.
Answer Hello Packrat. You need to test the motor and see if there is power coming to it. Sounds like the motor and motor control board may need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
