Tom Fixit for Model Number ADB1500AWB Was reviewing some of the other questions about the control panel LED's dimming or not working, and find the same thing occuring on my dishwasher. Seems to be an inherent design flaw wit the dishwasher. The situation occured after having the dishwasher for 2 years. Seldom do the LED's go out all at once, leaving me to believe it's an electronic problem. Discussing the problem with Amana gets me nowhere. Can you verify with me that I need to replace the elctronic component panel?
Answer Tom, You need to check the control panel keypad circuits 6-919800 , before you install a control board. The keypads are more susceptible to malfunctions due to usage and possible moisture and cleaning procedures. You should find your tech. data/wiring diagram, in a bag taped to the backside of the kickplate panel, it will give you the resistance readings and pin locations for each keypad to test with a multimeter.
