Dean for Model Number KSCS25FTMS02 I have a KitchenAid Refrigerator (model # KSCS25FTMS02). About a month ago the fridge started making a pinging noise and the temperature of the fridge was rising (not holding its set temperature). Upon reading about its condition, I had its main control board rebuilt (new capacitors & new relays installed). Upon installing this rebuilt control board, the pinging noise went away and the fridge ran perfectly, but for only around 10 day. After 10 days the fridges ice maker quit working & the temperature in the fridge started to rise. I then unplugged the fridge for 2 days and then plugged it back in. Once again, the fridge ran perfectly for around 10 days & then its ice maker quit working & as before, the fridges temperature started to rise. Please help me in getting this fridge to operate for longer than 10 days. Thank you.
Answer Dean, Based on the issue with the unit it sounds like you are having a defrost issue. You will want to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat to make sure that they have continuity. If there is continuity on the parts then the control board defrost circuit has failed and would need a new board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 10, 2016
