Luis for Model Number KSCS25FTMS02 Whats my issue? Evaporator coil is freezing up in freezer section resulting in my fridge compartment to be warm. I checked the heating element and got 24 ohms, I replaced the defrost thermostat, evaporator fan is working, door seals are in good shape, Freezer is not overly packed and not obstructing intake vent or outake vents, and no defrost timer for this model. What can I check to pinpoint this issue of the evaporator coil freezing up?
Answer Luis, With the defrost thermostat having been replaced and the heater being good, this would indicate a faulty control board which is part number W10219463. Unfortunately, this has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available.
