Kenny for Model Number mede300vw0 Maytag dryer model number MEDE300VW0. Keeps blowing the thermal fuse. If I replace the thermal fuse it will run for a few minutes and then shut off. I replaced the Heating element, and kit 280148 (The fuses on the side of the element enclosure) as well as the thermistor, and blown thermal fuse again. Yet it keeps blowing. Have cleaned all duct work, and done the diagnostics. The motor and heater will not run, I feel due to the once again blown thermal fuse. It is giving a code of f25 in diagnostic mode only. When not in diagnostic mode it acts as if it is running counts down the minutes remaining but does not tumble, the motor doesn't run, and the heat is not on. I feel there are 2 things left to try: The Motor & the Machine Control Electronics. I have already spent over $100 replacing the items listed above & hate to spend money on something I do not need AGAIN. Is this most likely the motor or the MCE??? Thanks for your help
Answer Kenny, You will want to check the drum seal and the seal around the blower housing to make sure that there is not a leak that would cause the thermal to blow. This would be a likely hood of what is happening. Also if the motor is overheating and putting off enough heat to blow the fuse then yes it would be the motor. Double check the thermal fuse and see if it is bad and if not then the motor is most likely the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 18, 2014
