Sharon D for Model Number WED9200SQ! My Whirlpool dryer keeps getting a F23 code. The thermistor has been replaced and main thermostat. Dryer still overheats and gets a F23 code. Repair guy says main control board not sending out any amps. Will a new control cure it for good and how hard is it to repair myself? I have waited since 10-20 for this be be completed. They say they ordered the part but not it yet.
Answer Hello Sharon, There are 2 thermal fuses on this unit. One is on the duct assembly and one is located on near the heater assembly. Thermistor [AP3919451needs to be rechecked to make sure that it is not blown. If it is then you would also want to check your dryer venting to ensure proper air flow. This includes the blower wheel.
