Erik for Model Number WED8300SW2 I replaced the control board on a whirlpool duet sport dryer with part w10111606 rev D. The original was w10111606 rev E. The new board doesn’t even let the dryer turn on. The older one that was displaying F 01 error code at least has power. Is the rev D board not compatible?

However, it is recommended that the wires are checked to ensure that there are no loose connections and that the main control WPW10111606 is tested at connection P9 pin 2 for 120VAC. If there is 120VAC, the next step would be to test the connection P5 pin 8 for 12VDC. If there is not a DC voltage, then the main control is faulty. Read More...
