Answer Lewis, The auger motor on the unit does not reverse. The way the unit differentiates between crushed and cubed is the crush/cube solenoid. The solenoid sits next to the auger motor and the arm on the ice bin goes into it. On cubed it will pull the arm up and open a door to allow the ice to flow past the crusher blades. If you are having an issue with the unit not dispensing cube ice then check to make sure that the solenoid is not damaged or stuck in the up position. Read More...
