Notsohandy for Model Number ED5GVEXVD00 My freezer is not dispensing ice. I can see the motor coupling turning when I take out the ice bin and press the ice dispenser. But the solenoid does not pull up to open the ice dispenser on the ice bin. Also if I put my finger on the motor coupling it wont move. It seems that there is very little power to turn the ice tray. Do I need to change the motor and the solenoid?
Answer Hi Notsohandy. First you will need to see if you have 120vac coming to the auger motor when the door switch is taped shut. Then have someone call for ice cubes. You should have 120vac at the auger motor coupling. Then if you do, you will need to replace the crusher solonoid and the auger motor assembly. The crusher solonoid is part # WP2152713. The auger motor is part # WPW10317991. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, August 16, 2011
