Dave for Model Number Kenmore Coldspot 106.58124700 I'm trying to remove my coupling and I'm turning it in the direction that the motor spins, but it won't come off. The motor just keeps spinning. Do you have any suggestions? I have removed the entire motor housing to try to get a better angle but no such luck.
Answer Dave, sounds like you've got a "stripped out" coupler thread. You are holding the motor shaft with a pair of pliers,aren't you ? If you are, then you may want to try pulling out on the coupler and turning, until you get past the stripped thread(s)and finish the removal process. Everything else you're doing is correct.
