Donna Follow up to first question about removing ice-maker. Donna, Raising the bail arm on the ice maker works for a while, eventually it gets hit and falls down and the ice maker operates and burns out(on occasion). Your best bet is to reach behind the ice maker and unplug the 4 wire connector from the freezer wall connector and let it go at that, until you can install a water line to the ice maker fill valve assembly. Good Luck and Thanks I'm never going to use the ice-maker, so after unplugging the 4 wire connector mentioned below and taking out the ice maker itself, is there a cover plate that can be purchased to cover the freezer wall connection?
Answer Hello Donna. No, there is no need to cover the connection. They do not make a cover for the model number you provided. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 5, 2011
