Faye for Model Number LER5620KQ1 My dryer is cutting off before the cycle is done. When I open the door it is very hot inside. I was told it is a safety feature to keep it from overheating. What would cause the dryer to overheat? What would I need to replace to correct this issue?
Answer Faye, In any case where the unit is taking longer to dry or overheating, the first thing to check would be the dryer venting from the blower wheel of the unit all the way to the outside of the home. The venting getting clogged would cause this issue. If the venting checks ok then the cycling thermostat would be the most likely cause for failure. Read More...
