The Dishrack is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It measures 21" wide x 21" deep. It provides a stable framework for organizing and holding dishes, glasses, utensils, and other items during the washing cycle. Designed to fit securely in the dishwasher, it ensures proper water flow and cleaning efficiency for all loaded items.

Causes of a bad Dishrack can include prolonged exposure to high temperatures and moisture, leading to rust or corrosion, damage to the coating from sharp utensils, or bending or breaking due to heavy or improperly loaded items. Over time, these issues can compromise its functionality.

Symptoms of a bad Dishrack include:

  • Rust or peeling coating on the rack
  • Broken or bent tines that can’t hold dishes properly
  • Difficulty sliding the rack in and out of the dishwasher

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Kim for Model Number DU911PWKQ0

I received a new lower dishrack that is different than my original one. I called your store and was told that the original rack I have has been discontinued and this new one is the replacement. It has a "tine rack" that I need to install but there are no directions on how to do it ~ this rack has a "curved" tine on one end and the standard straight tine on the other. Does it matter which way this rack is installed? Where do the 3 clips go? There is one large clip and 2 small ones. I'm hoping the clips won't be in the way when placing dishes in the rack?

Answer

Hi Kim. The manufacturer does not give instructions on the tine adjustment clip replacement procedure. It is noted that some models use the clips and some do not. So unless the failed part is actually a part that keeps the unit from running, then they give instructions. Did your unit have these clips and tine adjusters ? Can you go to a local appliance store and see if they have your model and can picture the connection. Sorry... Thank You.
