Rich for Model Number KUDI01ILBL0 Replacing a KitchenAid Dishwasher detergent dispenser and having trouble separating the outside panel and inside panel to access detergent dispenser. The model number is KUDI01ILBL0 and I am viewing support help for this at: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-dispenser-asm-fuel-wp8558129-ap6013186.html#autoplay I find this model number shown at different web site but the dishwasher shown do not look like mine. Mine has a detachable top part on the outside panel for example not seen in want I have been able to find. I have been able to remove all the screws with both sized drivers, both sides and top, none found on the bottom, but the panels do not come free. The dishwasher has been in use for at least 12 years. Is it possible the insulation material has bonded to the panels? It would be much appreciated if you could tell me how I can separate these two panels without damaging them to replace the detergent dispenser. I have on line photos, if that will help, at richlauckphotography.com in the gallery named 4KitchenAid.
Answer Rich, When you open the door of the unit there will be screws on the inner door panel that you need to remove. Once you remove the screws you would lift the inner door up. If the door will not separate then use a putty knife to get under the inner door panel and pry it up in order to get the inner door panel loose. Read More...
