Jim for Model Number Kitchenaid Model kudi01ilwh6 I purchased the soap dispenser for my Kitchenaid Model KUDI01ILWH6 dishwasher, and I cannot get the outer metal panel off. I removed all of the torx screws connecting the metal panel, and when it did not come off, I removed the remaining screw to the control panel to see what might be going on. None of the edges of the metal panel are attached (I can pry down to get about 1/2 inch clearance on the sides), but it seem to be firmly attached somehow at the center of the panel. Is there a trick to removing the front panel, like sliding in one direction or another?
Answer Jim, Here's the information we have. : " Removing the Dispenser Assembly The Dispenser Assembly is located in the lower portion of the dishwasher door below the console area. 1. Remove the eight (8) screws securing the outer door panel to the dishwasher door frame. Remove the outer door panel from the door frame. 2. Remove the center top hex head screw and remove the dispenser shield and disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the detergent dispenser solenoid and rinse aid sensor. 3. Remove the remaining five (5) screws securing the dispenser assembly to the inner door liner. 4. Bend the two locking tabs at the top and bottom of the dispenser assembly up away from the dispenser body. 5. The dispenser assembly can now be lifted from the inner door liner." Thanks Read More...
