Tommy for Model Number Maytag Neptune MAH5500AWW The very last step in replacing the door boot seal is to insert the little tabs into the slots all around the washer opening. I can not get the grey rubber tabs on the boot to lock into the slots. Therefore, when I do the very best I can at getting the tabs in place, and close the door, the boot comes completely lose again. The tabs do not fit in as neatly as your video shows, the tabs on my old boot are exactly the same, so they worked. What am I doing wrong? Is there a special way to snap the tabs into place or maybe a cuss word that I need to say while trying to snap the tabs into place? Please help!
Answer Hello Tommy, If you did not get the top arrows lined up properly when installing the boot on the front tub cover, the tabs will not line up properly on the shroud assembly. Also, be sure to put these in dry since using liquid soap or such will cause the boot to slip right back out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 5, 2014
