Anthony for Model Number MAH5500BWW My Maytag Neptune was working fine, but the door boot seal was heavily black molded. I ordered & installed the replacement boot seal. Reconnecting the wire & spring was difficult, but after many tries with my wife's help, I was able to get it reconnected (the cable fits nicely on the groves all around), and reassembled other components back. We ran our first load of laundry, and it is leaking under the machine. The machine is in a tray, so we were able to stop the machine in time before it spill on the floor. Did I do something wrong with the installation? I followed your video step-by-step. Please advise. Thank you.
Answer Hello Anthony, You should remove the front panel and verify where the leak is originating. If it is coming from the door boot, the spring and cable will have to be properly positioned. If not, you should be able to tell where the leak is coming from and correct that. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 2, 2015
