Dottie for Model Number Amana model #DLE33ORAW My dryer used to take about 40-45 minutes to dry a normal load of laundry but now I have noticed that after 40-45 min. I am having to reset it for another 20-30 minutes for the clothes to dry. Could this be the heating element getting ready to die?
Answer Hello Dottie, This is normally caused by a ducting issue. The duct could be crimped or clogged. The ducting I am referring to is not part of the dryer but carries the dryer exhaust to outside atmosphere. The ducting should be checked before replacing any parts. Read More...
