Mike A for Model Number WGD5700SW0 When I turn on the dryer, the igniter doesn't even glow. I took it off and had it tested. It read 77 -78 on the meter. I put it back on the dryer and had no luck. Is the igniter bad or is it the thermo fuse? The dryer is only 3 years old. Thanks for any help.
Answer Hello Mike. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
