Ollie R My dryer does put out some heat on occasion but then shuts down and only cold air, this is using the timed cycle; the same thing happens with the automatic cycle, in that mode the dryer will not shut off, My first thought was to replace the igniter until I saw your video about the heat sensor too. The questions I am asking is which one do I replace if not both and does the auto mode only function {shut-off] with either of both of the others are working ,or does the timer have to be replaced also.
Answer Hello Ollie. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power.
