Mike for Model Number KGYE660WWH0 I'm checking the continuity of the gas ignitor. I'm confused on what the reading should be. I'm getting a reading of 36 ohms when testing at the 2 prong plug. Your video indicates the reading should be between 50-400. I also read in the question answers that the reading should be 36 ohms. Can you tell me if the ignitor is okay based on the 36 ohm reading? The dryer runs but doesn't heat. I've tested the thermal fuse, the coils and now the ignitor. What's next? Thank you.
Answer Hello Mike. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter to see if it is good. If it is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
