Bob Andersen for Model Number DE412 I have repaired almost everything on this dryer (belt, heating element/wires,rollers/etc.), but always have been able to fix it and, once fixed, is great. A few weeks ago it started smoking feintly and the buzzer also wouldn't stop buzzing until we opened the door and kept it open. I figured maybe thermostat or fuse. Any possibilities for helping me?
Answer Bob, Check or replace the motor W10410999 / W10410999. The faint smoke and odor and the continuous buzzing in the panel would most likely be due to a weak or faulty motor winding. The buzzer is the path of least resistance in the motor circuit, and would sound if the motor windings can't " carry" the load. You may also want to consider a new blower wheel Y303836 / Y303836 , just in case. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 31, 2017
