Frameexpert, The hi limit switch and thermistor are good possibilities, but there are other checks to make first. If you're sure the exhaust vent pipes and vent hood are clear/clean and there are no kinks or restrictions, then check the outlet ducts (under the lint filter and attached to the blower for a build up or restriction, and check the blower belt to make sure it's not stretched or worn out, and the blower wheel bearing isn't seizing up. The check vent indicator light will illuminate when the airflow is restricted (in or out of the drum).
