Lisa for Model Number 11077841600 My Kenmore gas dryer works but has no heat. I am assuming from what I’ve read that it is the igniter. I ordered one and watched the video of how to replace it, but my dryer is different from both of the ones shown in the video. On the inside of my dryer on the back wall, there is an opaque little window. Before I attempt to take apart the entire dryer, I am wondering if this little window might be important in helping me to diagnose the problem? If not, is there another video that can show me how to replace the igniter on the model of the dryer that I have?
Answer Lisa, To access the burner assembly on your unit, there is a panel at the bottom of the unit under the door. There will be 2 spring clips located there that you would push in and pull the lower panel off. This should give access to the burner assembly where the igniter is and you should be able to see if the igniter is coming on or not. Read More...
