Len Maytag dryer keeps on heating and only shuts off after timer stops dryer cycle. What needs to be replaced?
Answer Len, A model number would be a great help. But, the problem is most likely a shorted wire in the heater circuit (most likely the heater element) energizing the heater element as long as the motor is running completing the 220 VAC circuit, or a shorted contact in the timer.
