Mr. Scott for Model Number whirlpool xfg371lvs Have had this gas stove for ~ 8 years. An intermittent problem is now more frequent: When we turn the oven on, there is a click (normally occurs once, and then oven lights), but no pilot ignition... click again, and again (several seconds apart), but oven never lights. We found that if we start the broiler, the oven will then light (with only one click) and work correctly (for several uses). Please advise what part(s) are the culprit.
Answer Mr. Scott, it is possible that the bake burner or orifice may have a clog in the ports that would need to be cleared. Once this has been verified as being clear, the safety valve WPW10293048 can be tested from the middle terminal to each of the outside terminals and should measure 216 ohms each.
