Kira for Model Number MER7662WW1

Hi there - I have a MER7662WW1 stove with a burned left front element. According to the website, part number W10178016 (AP4370049) is what I need (apparently works for MER7662WW1 and WW0). But when I opened my stovetop, I found that what was already in there was a burned-out part number W10169796 (AP4369304) (supposed to only work with MER7662WW2 and WW3). Which should I buy? The one that the online listing says I need, or the one that matches what's in the stovetop now? -Kira

Answer

Hello Kira. It is best to order the one that matches your old part. It could be a case of yours was one of the last WW1 models and they ran out of the W10178016. Therefore, they will use the new part on the unit. It is best to use the one that replaces the old one in your model.
