Hello Kyle. You will plug the purple and the black wires on the back of the block in the same location as the original element. Then take the black wire, not the jumper, and plug it into the last spade on the side of the new element. Then the other black wire, goes to the terminal on the block under the purple wire. If wired this way, the element AP3182986 should work properly. Thank You.
