Stephen for Model Number GS773LXSS The oven/broil on my Whirlpool oven no longer ignites. The stovetop burners work well, but when you try to turn on both the broiler and the oven the is no click and no ignition. The technician that looked at it determined that it was a faulty spark board which I replaced. Unfortunately this did not fix it and the issue remains. Could it be the gas valve? Thanks
Answer Stephen, You will want to check the safety valve for resistance. The resistance value of the valve should be 216 ohms from bake to common which is the center terminal and broil to common. If not then the safety valve WPW10293048 is faulty and would need to be replaced. This issue does sound like the safety valve due to neither bake or broil working. Read More...
