Jonda E. for Model Number FRS22WHD My ice maker seems to be working fine but the ice tastes bad lately. Some one asked me if I had changed the filter. Well, I had no idea that it had a filter. I think I found out from pictures that its in the front, but my question is how do I change it? Does the water have to be turned off? Or the power? Is there some instructions on the new filter, when I purchase one? Thank you so much.
Answer Hello Jonda, I have looked at the model number you submitted and this unit has no on-board water filter. The only filter listed for this model is the filter/drier. This is not a water filter but actually is part of the sealed system that contains the freon. If you would like to add a filter 4392949, one can be put in the supply line to the unit. Read More...
