Carl for Model Number Ed2fhexvs02 I have a Whirlpool size by side. I removed the old filter and run it without filter (we have excellent water quality here). The manual says to replace the cap but it just kind of sits in there loose with no filter to screw on to. Is this normal for this model or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
Answer Hello Carl, This design does not require a bypass plug so when the filter is removed, the water will dispense, automatically bypassing the filter.
