Elis C. I need to replace filter 3 i4396841, how does it need to be inserted? I have pulled it out and have done this before but now I don't know which side is up or which way does it go in? Thanks, Elis
Answer Elis, First you need to turn the water to the refrigerator off, remove the filter cap ( turn it 90 dgrs. to the left, Press the filter release button on the left side of the opening to eject the filter. Remove the red cover(s) off the small tubes at the end of the filter. Insert the filter into the housing until it locks in place. Reinstall the filter cap, and open the water faucet and dispense water from the dispenser until the air has been displaced and the water is clear(2or3 gallons is usually enough).
