Dave for Model Number CRG9700CAE My broiler doesn't ignite/heat up, although occasionally it will have a low flame, i.e. it is getting a little gas but not enough to function properly. At this point I've used a clamp-on meter and have 3.6A draw on the igniter but I'm only getting 2V to the gas valve (the broiler side of the dual valve.) I also tested continuity on the valve and it appears to be fine. Is it possible the igniter is bad or is there something else I should test? Thanks
Answer Hello Dave. If there is only 2 volts to the valve, you need to replace the ignitor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 13, 2015
Answer Hello Dave, Since you have the proper current draw at the ignitor, this issue will be caused by a bad oven valve WP74006427. The voltage reading must have been taken under a load since there cannot be 3.6 amps drawn without 120Vac applied to this circuit. Read More...
